National Coverage Plans/Maps
Sprint PCS with their PCS National Coverage uses only their Digital network. If you have
have a dual band, dual mode phone and switch to Analog you will be paying roaming and possibly long
distant fees for that service.
Like Sprint, T-Mobile uses a Digital only network. Theirs is using the GSM network.
Some of their phones are also capable of using the Analog network and like Sprint, you will
be paying roaming and possibly long distant fees for that service on others networks.
The Cingular, Alltel and Qwest National Networks use other carriers service where they do
not have coverage They have reciprocal agreements with other services which allow their
customers to use another network without any roaming fees to the user.
Cingular is switching from TDMA to GSM. They have GAIT phones capable of both TDMA and GSM, and now most of their new phones are GSM models.
Below are the coverage maps showing each carriers network.

Cingular with their Roll Over Rate and Verizon with their SingleRate Coverage have the largest
networks. They are made up of both Digital and Analog Networks so a dual band, dual mode
phone is needed to make use of their National Networks.
